A Brief History

Founded in 1996, we began as a small full servicesalon in a location directly beside Fatz Café here in Hendersonville, simplytitled 'The Salon.' That particular location was 2,000 sq ft. with eight employees. Asour client base expanded, customers requested more specialized procedures, more privacyand longer length services. In four short years we began our search for a new home. Sinceopening our new location in March 2001, we have expanded considerably to a beautifulnew 6,000 sq ft. salon and renamed our business to 'The Salon and Day Spa.'

In addition to our (19) employees, including two instructors, we now have a private segregatedarea for our spa services (massage therapy, facials, body waxing, peels, and the like), abroad array of professional grade products, as well as a full service café. We alsoobtained certification from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina and ACN Insurance Groupas a preferred insurance provider, a feat not easily obtained. We are monitored and inspectedby the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetology and have always maintained an "A" ratingduring our entire existence.

Because we do not want to be just another ordinary salon, we are always on the lookout fornew technologies, exceptional professionals and furthering the education of our employees,who are required to attend (30) hours of education each year.

This is our home town and we firmly believe in giving back to the communitythat supports us, and we do so though numerous local charities and causes. Sowhether you need a gift certificate (we also send over the internet as well), abrand new you (try our Cyber Imaging System) or a healthy lift (try our new V.I.B.E. machine),we are prepared to serve you exceptionally well. In the future we hope to expand once again,and possibly include an even more holistic approach to health and beauty by offering otherservices - we are keeping ourselves updated on the latest changes and trends in order to offerour clients the very best!

Of course, we would like to sincerely thank each and every person who has visited ourbusiness, more than 5,000 to date - we wouldn't have a history if it weren't for ourloyal and exceptional clientele who appreciate and support our ideas, professionalism,and methods of business.
